Valentine’s Day Date Night

February 13, 2020

For several years now I’ve written about Wayne and his efforts to play the part of the romantic husband. He tries, he honestly does but romance isn’t part of his genetic makeup. And from what I hear from you, my readers, my husband is not alone. In fact, I would venture to guess he’s in the majority. That’s why I wanted to share with you an easy at home date night for Valentine’s Day!

1. Make dinner together! Choose the menu and get the ingredients ahead of time. Something as easy as pasta that doesn’t take long to cook is a great option! Pour a glass of wine and have fun taste-testing together! Wayne and I are foodies, so we enjoy doing this together!

2. Watch a movie together. I love popcorn, so making this is a must! Wayne and I go all out and create a tray filled with all sorts of goodies to snack on during the movie.

3. To come down from the sugar high you likely got while watching the movie, end your night by having a cup of tea or coffee together. Ask each other what you are most grateful for. Write them down and keep and keep it accessible so you can revisit it throughout the year.
