The release of my journal, BE A BLESSING, comes out on April 2nd. It got me thinking of the importance of journaling has been in my life.
I was a young teen the day President Kennedy was assassinated. His death rocked the entire world as well as my own. I remember school being dismissed, but instead of heading home, my friends gathered in a circle. Together we hugged and wept. That night I poured out my grief in my diary.
I’ve kept a journal my entire life. There are stacks of them tucked away from all the years. It’s my story—my testament—written one page at a time. The days on the pages are documented with world events in one entry, and what I cooked for dinner in the next. Woven between the lines is my journey on this earth—the challenges, the joys, and the sorrows. How grateful I am to have these journals, to look back and to revisit those memories.
If you haven’t thought about keeping a journal of your own, I would encourage you to consider it.
Here is a preview of two pages featured in my journal.
