Now that I'm back home, my heart turns to New York, as we commemorate the passing of so many of our dear Americans in the tragic Twin Towers tragedies. To all of you who suffered the loss of family or friends on that unforgettable day, you are in my prayers. All of us suffered, but your loss was profound.
I can't let last weekend in Vegas go without a mention. Our anniversary was wonderful, and Wayne and I had a blast. We saw a couple of shows, and thanks to my friend, Delilah, I was able to meet Barry Manilow, who is an all-time favorite of mine. I say that I met Barry without a lot of fanfare, but, friends, I MET BARRY MANILOW! One day I’m going to write an entire book based on one of his songs ( "Somewhere Down the Road"). I do so love that song. Oh, and I hit a royal flush while playing video poker, but meeting Barry tops everything!
