This afternoon is the annual Christmas Swimmers Tea, which I host in my home. It’s always so much fun because we actually get to see each other with street clothes on! It’s sometimes a shock. Recently, I was amazed to learn that Rachel wore glasses. She didn’t know I did, either.
Those of us who swim early in the morning share a special camaraderie—we’re hearty souls, mostly morning people, born with a happy gene, who like nothing better than the smell of chlorine to start off our day. Oh, and we’re not opposed to a sip of eggnog at noon, either.
