Giving Thanks
Wayne and I had Thanksgiving dinner with dear friends on Sunday evening. We gathered at the home of Anita and Alan Greenstein to celebrate the life of Minda Butler, who we all loved so dearly . You might remember from my February 9 blog posting that Minda succumbed to cancer February 6.
Because the evening was a gathering to give thanks for having Minda grace our lives, Anita dubbed it Thanksgiving dinner and served the traditional turkey and stuffing. We toasted Minda and did our best to comfort her husband, Leon, who was able to join us for the evening. One of the blessings of the evening was watching the launch of the space shuttle. As the shuttle shot through the night sky, lighting up the horizon, I could feel Minda’s presence far more than her absence.
