Wayne and I, along with our friends, the Wilson’s, spent the weekend celebrating our anniversaries. Tink and Wayne met in first grade in Colville, Washington, and have been the best of friends ever since. Tink and Wayne were roommates in Seattle when I first met Wayne. Then Tink and Renelle were married a week after Wayne and me, so it's become something of a tradition to celebrate our anniversaries together. This year we took a drive to the Oregon wine country and then went on to Reno for a couple of days. I'm really not much of a gambler, but I did get in some quality knitting time.
It's good to be home.
On Thursday I’ll be traveling again, to San Francisco and then New York. One for business, the other for pleasure.
The highlights of our trip included the experiences of shopping, eating and visiting the yarn mill that produces the Blossom Street Yarn Collection. Our hosts and the people we met were incredibly warm and welcoming.

This is Doris Roberts and me on the set for CALL ME MRS. MIRACLE, which is currently being filmed for Hallmark Channel's Christmas programming. I was able to visit with both Lauren Holly, who plays one of the characters, and Doris Roberts, who is returning as the wonderful Mrs. Miracle. I think of Doris as my own miracle, because she was able to squeeze in another movie into her incredibly busy schedule. What I find both amazing and wonderful is how much fun these two women are. All I can say is that viewers are in for a special treat. This new movie is even better than last year's Mrs. Miracle, and I didn't think that was going to be possible.
Our church had a wonderful kids' program last Sunday morning after the service, followed by one of those infamous Church Dinners. We've gone from two services down to one for the summer, so I didn't recognize half the people there--clearly they attend the "other" service!
