Wine-Tasting Weekend
Wayne and I are off today for a weekend wine-tasting tour with friends. (This is our reward for the six-week book tour.) For those of you who might not be aware, Washington is the second largest wine-producing state behind California. We have some exceptional red and white wine varieties.
First we’re driving to Yakima, where I was born and raised. If all those wineries had been there when I was growing up I might not have been so eager to leave home! We’ll also be visiting Walla Walla wineries. I know we’re going to have a wonderful time. And on Monday morning I’ll return to my desk, inspired and energized, ready to dig into Hannah’s List, my 2010 hardcover.

Good for you!! I'm still talking to people about our afternoon together in Princeton, NJ. What an inspiration you are to all of your readers. Have a glass (or two) for me. I enjoy white wine the best.

Have a great trip and have some red wine for me and sangria for my hubby bob. We live close to a winery here in florida and still haven't taken the time to go over there. there is a small one in town here but they import their grapes and don't have a vineyard to tour. however, they do a great private party explaining the wines and a wine tasting and treats to go with it. our sorority went over there and had a great time. take care

We just returned from a week in WA visiting daughters, son-in-law and grandbaby. Searched Edmonds, made ferry trips to Whidbey and Port Orchard area to look at properties. Stayed with Gil and Kathy at the Cedar Cove Inn bed and breakfast in Port Orchard. What a wonderful, lovely place and we understand you celebrated a milestone at the Inn. I highly recommend the Inn for anyone who appreciates beauty and longs for serenity! Sandi from Colorado
