Home Again

The last city of my spring tour was Knoxville, TN.  It was a delight to participate in the Book Junkie Book Club event and meet with the knitters at The Knitting Nest in Maryville.  Thank you, one and all, for coming to signings on this year’s tour.  I have phenomenal readers!

Wayne and I flew home Tuesday morning and landed with a thud into reality.  Within two hours of walking in the front door I had the washing machine going, shopped for groceries, put gas in the car, and had phone calls out to the grandkids.  Bogie was so happy to see us he couldn’t stop jumping.  There really is no place like home!

Re: Home Again
Hi Debbie, I know you are glad to be home. I was at the book signing in Knoxville, TN. You were great! I have always loved you and now I love you even more......and I am not a "funny" woman. :--) I left you a comment in one of the Louisanna posts, but I was afraid you wouldn't see it and I just wanted to say Thank You for a very delightful afternoon in Knoxville, TN.

Re: Home Again
Hi Debbie - Glad to hear you are home safe and sound! But I guess there's no rest for the weary, huh? Sounds as if you've gotten right back into the swing of things - lol
Guess what??? I'm learning to knit- Betty, one of the women I met at the Princeton book signing, has started teaching me - I'm making my grandson a hat!!! I'm SO EXCITED!!! I'm actually doing it and I LOVE IT!!! The hardest part is the switching between knit and purl for the ribbing; but it's getting easier - I am even beginning to tell the difference between the two stitches now as they sit on the needle (instead of counting out even, odd, etc)
I'm just so excited I had to share with you! When I finish this hat I look forward to moving on to the prayer shawl pattern from the Blossom Street Series. :)
Talk to you soon.

I didn't get to come to your book signing when you was in Knoxville I hate that I missed it. I know you are glad to be home, there's no place like home. So now maybe you can relax some and enjoy Summer.

Re: Home Again
How true there is no place like home, even at times I think I don't live in the best homes but always want to make my way home. Also nothing like coming home to your pet, they are always there to greet you and just be loved. Debbie, when are you going to have a book signing in Poughkeepsie, NY. We have a Barnes & Nobles?

Re: Home Again
Glad that your tour went well and you & Wayne are safely home. I have a tour stop request for the next book: Borders in Chestnut Hill. :-)

I FINALLY read "A Cedar Cove Christmas" (from the library) and I have an intense dislike for David Rhodes. Then I realized that (1) he's a book character; and (2) his family doesn't like him very much either.

Re: Home Again
Debbie it sounds like a good tour you had except you didn't come to Omaha Nebraska this year and I missed you but I have to tell you, you gave me the courage I didn't to get through my surgery I had my hysterectomy and it went good but I know I would not of had the courage if it wasn't for you and Cheryl St.John. You both have wonderful books and they make you feel good.
I am glad you and Wayne made it home safely and Bogie gets to see you..
