Happy Birthday, Dale!
Today is our youngest son’s birthday.  Thirty-four years ago Wayne drove me to the hospital after my water broke and labor began.  Although it was late afternoon, Wayne was hoping we could wait until after midnight so we wouldn’t be charged for a full day's hospital stay.  Because money was tight in those days, I tried my best to wait.  Needless to say, Dale foiled our cost-cutting plans.  Truth be known, we were fortunate to make it to the hospital in time.  With Dale we completed our family—two girls and two boys.  Happy Birthday, Dale!

How sweet...the memories...my youngest daughter will be 11 on the 4th of July. When I went into labor Ben could not leave to come get me, so my Mom, myself, and my oldest daughter took a cab. Wow..the memories. Happy Birthday Dale.

Happy Birthday Dale!!! Isn't it amazing Debbie how our maternal memories never fade? I was 23 when I had my youngest daughter...she just turned 23 on the 4th of June, and she is expecting for the first time - TWIN BOYS!!! My knitting needles are clicking as fast as possible! Which by the way isn't super fast since I've only just learned to knit since you were here in Princeton NJ the end of May. You converted me Debbie - I am LOVING it!!! :)

Re: Happy Birthday, Dale!
It is true our maternal memories don't die. I was just talking with my daughter and telling her how she just didn't want to come on the due date, but boy when she was ready we hardly made it to the hospital on time. I was put in a room with other ladies in labor and they came and got me first, i said am I ready, the dr in the delivery room said good thing you didn't wait any longer. The background to the story was that 3 weeks earlier i had gone in in false labor and didn't want to be embarassed again, so i really waited almost too long.
Happy Birthday Dale, always the baby of the family remember that
