Savannah, GA

Although I’m technically on a book tour, Wayne and  I  are continuing our own personal restaurant tour of the south.  Here we are in Paula Deen’s Savannah restaurant called Lady and Sons, enjoying our lunch.  I had fried green tomatoes and crab soup, and it was fabulous.  Wayne had the buffet—three times!

I'm looking forward to meeting my readers in Georgia (if I can get into any of my clothes).

Re: Savannah, GA
we did not go to Paula Deen's because our group booked for a late late dinner. But the next day we went to her brother's Bubba's place and the food was delicious. We had greata food in all of Savannah.

I love Paula Dean and stood in line to make the resevation and again to go in and have lunch. Loved the cheese bisquits and the gift shop! Be sure to go to Uncle Bubba's too. The bridge itself is magnificent. I love Sanannah. Mamahops

Re: Savannah, GA
We were in Savannah last month and ate at the Lady and Sons. It was fabulous--we had the fried chicken. Our little waiter, Brandon, was so cute. Wish we could have been there while you were.

Fried Green Tomatoes are so good. Sounds like you and Wayne are having a wonderful time enjoy yourselves. Just finished reading Summer On Blossom Street what a great read as usual. Could there possible be more Blossom Street Books. I wonder if Alix has a boy or girl?

We were there and took a picture in front of the restaurant, but didn't have time to eat - the long wait, you know. I gained 10 pounds just reading the menu!

Re: Savannah, GA
WOW! Paula Deans..and getting to be in her restaurant and eat some of her great food. Love her shows. Do not worry about the lbs. you may have put on. Just remember how good it was. With all the running around you seem to be doing it gave you extra stamina. Were you able to get any of her recipes?
Happy travels to you and yours.

Re: Savannah, GA
Good spot. I and a friend visited Savannah a few years ago and that was one of our top spots to visit. Loved the food. Went back to the buffet at least twice. We stayed in Savannah for a couple of nights and on Tybee Island a couple of nights. I loved staying on the Island although it was nice just to walk most anywhere we wanted to go in Savannah. I also have a granddaughter named Savannah.
