Lessons Learned

The other day I asked Wayne if he would take on a project for me.   (I needed him to wind some yarn for me--he's always so helpful at doing this.)   Wayne  was a bit distracted playing his computer game, but he said he would do the good deed.  He took it from me and set it aside.  When I returned at the end of the day, the yarn was still not wound, but the sweater I had been working on the last day or so was totally unraveled and off the needles!*#@!  Four to five inches of circular knitting was gone, wound up into a beautiful skein of yarn.  I was beyond speechless.

There is a lesson in this, and I have learned it well.  Do not discuss honey-do's with honey when honey is on the computer.   Believe it or not, Wayne and I are still speaking to each other!

Re: Lessons Learned
HUH??? He's done this before, right?? He must have really been distracted! I'm sure it will be something to laugh about one of these days. Isn't it a good thing we have husbands for blog fodder sometimes??

Re: Lessons Learned
Husbands have a habit of that sort of thing at times, most of the time I believe their intentions are good, BUT when their mind is otherwise occupied I believe it is called selective hearing. Arrrgh!

Today I got my copy of "all you"mag... was going to glance and turned cover and there was "Back on Blossom Street" and the next page had all the dates coming up to see you.... Well I guess I have something else to bring to get signed...I was telling Gene about it and his comment was sorry she is not coming near us.... Alot he remembers he just made a gift card for something he made me to bring to you in Tallahassee. All men are enough alike its scarey...sp

Re: Lessons Learned
That's too bad. Such a lot of work gone. Could have been worse. It could have been almost done! As fast as you knit it will be redone in no time.

OH MY! My husband always tells me, "Someday, Honey, we'll laugh about this!" So far he's been right, but that doesn't mean I don't want to strangle him when the moment's right. :) I love your blog!!!

Re: Lessons Learned
I believe you two are still talking! That is when you know you have a good marriage. whenever my husband - or I - screw up we still speak, and try very hard not to say things we can't take back in the heat of the moment because we both know we don't mean it, so why say it! My husband does way too much for me for me to get upset when he screws up!
