Happy St. Patrick's Day!
Talk about the luck of the Irish! (No, I'm not Irish, but don't most people don the green and celebrate this special day?).  I had an encounter with a famous writer this past weekend.  I had just completed a fun book signing event at Great Balls of Yarn in West Palm Beach.  My friend,  Marsha Roche, was with me,  and we decided to have lunch at City Place, a high-end mall close by.  As we headed down the escalator toward the parking garage,  I noticed a man riding up on the opposite side.  I recognized him immediately and said, “Hello, James Patterson!”  He raised his hand and returned my greeting, even though he didn't know me.  We were two ships passing in the night , or, in this case, two bodies standing on movable stairs.  I did get a thrill out of seeing him!

Re: Happy St. Patrick's Day!
It is so exciting to meet famous people. I stood in line for a very long time to meet you. And you made me feel like it was worth the wait. I still tell people about my meeting with you a couple of years ago. I am working in Palm Springs Ca this week and so far I have not seen any famous people. We will be seeing the GUESS WHO at a party tonight. Dorothy-Berwyn,IL

What a thrill for you. You are a very humble lady when you are thrilled to meet a famous author when you are one yourself. I would rather meet you. Thanks for all the pleasure you give us. Janet in Michigan

Re: Happy St. Patrick's Day!
How exciting for you Debbie. Several months ago I was at the airport waiting to pick up my daughter when Muhammed Ali and his wife walked in front of me. I could have asked for a picture or said hello but I didn't jump about and make a scene. It was exciting enough just to see him and we thought we were respecting his right to privacy by just standing there with our mouths open! LOL.

How nice that was for you... I don't read him but I sell alot of him and I watch his website... Its nice to meet people who make you feel happy.. I sell for a local author here in town and he is just like anyone else.. He has cows he takes care of.. His wife does our hair.. This is how I met him in the first place... So you never know where you will meet up... I am looking forward to seeing you in Tallassee...
