A well-deserved rest
I think I might be overworking my poor husband.   At my request, on Friday he put together a huge light fixture  (the kind that comes with assembly required and lots of individual pieces) and hung it in the kitchen.  Then later that afternoon I dragged him out to dinner and after that to the Sunrise Theater in Fort Pierce to see Three Irish Tenors.  The three tenors turned out to be five young men who formed the group called Druid.  Their music and harmony was incredible. I clapped, stomped and sang along.  When I glanced over at Wayne . . . he was asleep.  Tomorrow I leave for Tom’s River, NJ and then on  to Seattle.  I promised Wayne he can get lots of rest while I am away.

Re: A well-deserved rest
That is too funny. My husband always says he was not sleeping just resting his eyes.

Re: A well-deserved rest
I can certainly relate to this....hubby and I were at a theatre production in a theatre whereupon the seats were very steep so that your head was right at knee level of the person behind you. Somewhere during the production I heard snoring and looked to my left to see that hubby's head had fallen back and was more or less resting on the lap of the man behind him. I poked him to make him wake up, of course. The MOST embarrassing this about all this was that we knew several of the audience members because it was an invited event. He got kidded about it for a long time. I hope Wayne wasn't as loud, ha ha ha.

Re: A well-deserved rest
What is it about our husbands that they always say they are resting their eyes when they're caught "resting" at odd times? Debbie, our ride home to Pa. was uneventful and am home trying to get my act together! I am so glad to have met you and the other ladies at CBS. Who knows, I might meet you on your tour.....certainly back in Vero.

Poor Wayne!! What does he do with his time if not to do projects for you! Does he fish? Golf? Go to car races? What are his interests? LOL Kathi :)

Re: A well-deserved rest
My husband can fall asleep after one chore but he has a real physical job during the week and also announced due to economy he has an interview this Friday for a security position. UGH! So weekends I will be mama and papa like I was a few years back. But he loves us....

Husbands can't live without them.. My husband has been grumpy all winter.. We got some warmer weather and the trees are blooming and flowers are coming out.. We have been to 4 plant and tree places already this week.. Now that does not count Home Depot and Lowe's... I got a wonderful yellow climbing rose that has no thorns...Just beautiful... I guess I have to take my laptop out to the back yard and work... LOL..........Have a great Spring.... Looking forward to talking Gene into going to Tallassee soon to see Debbie....
