Marine Life in Florida
Wayne and really love our new home. It’s on the Indian River in Vero Beach and we had the pleasure of watching four or five manatees right by our dock. I hesitate when I state the number because, well, err . . . it appears to be mating season. Every time we’ve been on the river we’ve seen dolphins too, which I so love. They are friendly and charming and simply delightful. Florida inspires me!

Re: Marine Life in Florida
Are you so inspired to write a Florida series or could be like the tv and be a spin off.. One or more of your People move to Florida ... Photographing here is great... any lightbulbs going off.... instead of street addresses you could use towns... lots of small towns up and down the coast that you can come to do research... Lake City.......

I'm also jealous. So much snow here in Spokane...and now flooding as it begins to melt a little. Oh, to be sitting by a river in warm Florida watching the dolphins and manatees. Actually, hubby and I are flying to Nebraska on Saturday for a few weeks to visit my mother-in-law, now it's supposed to get cold there and we're being blamed for bringing it to them!

Yeah, and here I sit in Wisconsin, where we could get 3-5 inches of snow tomorrow. We're supposed to be at the lower end of the storm.
I would love to see manatees and dolphins. I got to go to Florida in 1979, and I did see dolphins there, but at Sea World and not in the their natural habitat.

I love dolphins but here I sit in finally 6 inches of snow in ID that is finally melting. We are to get some rain but looks nice for the weekend. Sure hope so my baby girl flies back to OR for college on Sunday. Gonna miss her. Just the two boys to keep me busy now 10 years and 21 months old. Oh and the hubby too but then he is the biggest baby of them all. He is loved though. :) I have not been to FL but daughter has and she loves it but settled for school near the Pacific Ocean instead of the school by the Atlantic Ocean.:) closer to mama.

Re: Marine Life in Florida
Hey, now you are in my neck of the woods. So, has any one told you about the Power Plant on Indian River Blvd. and 17th street bridge? You park in their lot and go to the little bridge on the north side of the plant. That is where they go to get warn in cold weather. Water is warmenr. You see alot of them. Go Jack Bakers Lobster Shanty on Roayl Palm Blvd (the point)Dine by their windows over looking the Indian River "lagoon". You see alot of things, to.....partying boats to manatee's. I will see you in Stuart. I will go down. Have you gone to the Bookstore on Indian River yet?
