A Frost in Vero Beach
I don’t expect a lot of sympathy from those of you in the throes of winter, but it froze in Vero Beach last night. We’re talking Florida! I realize there is very strong evidence of global warming, but you’d be hard pressed to prove it to me this morning. I’m huddled over my computer, pausing every few words to rub warmth back into my fingers. I look a little silly in my Christmas tree sweater, but it’s the warmest one I have with me. Spring can’t come any too soon. Stay warm, my friends!

Spring can't come soon enough, here in WI, either. I'm so sick of trying to drive at night, when I really can't see if cars are coming. The snowbanks are just too much. It's not warming up enough to melt snow, anytime soon, though.

Coming from Chicago I should be used to the cold but the older I get the harder the winters seem. We have had terrible weather since November. I also can not wait for Spring. Dorothy-Berwyn

Re: A Frost in Vero Beach
well, we had 16 degree weather over here in Hernando, FL on the Nature Coast. We have lost our lawn, any plants that seem tropical, but get this our lettuce and broccoli that are outside in the raised veggie bed are thriving, of course Bob (my hubby) goes out every night puts them to bed with a blanket of plastic. we moved from Miami a few years ago and we wonder what was it that made us move other than hundreds of people all on top of each other. We had great neighbors and really nice hispanic friends but it was too hustly bustly, don't think those are real words. wrap up

It is cold in Stuart, too. I didn't move from Michigan to Florida for this. I don't even own winter clothes. Oh well. It won't last too long.

It's 66 degrees and sunny in south central Kansas today. My husband and I had a lovely walk in the park.

Re: A Frost in Vero Beach
You have just gone through winter here on the Treasure Coast. Start watching the tree's. They will have buds on them. Winter here in Florida only last only a few weeks. It is suppose to start warming up this weekend. Won't be down to see you in Sturart this weekend Debbie, I have it off so I am getting out of town. To the Ponce inlet just a little south of Daytona. It has a lighthouse there AND the Boondocks restaurant. Great sea food. Maybe I will see you around town.

I now firmly believe the only evidence of global warming is in Al Gore's mind. After all, one who can invent the internet must have a very fertile mind. I keep asking myself daily, where is the global warming and in Al Gore's mind is the only answer I can come up with. . Here in the northeast we are freezing in below zero temps. Stay as warm as possible and enjoy your stay in Florida. After our visit in South Carolina, we decided to head south next year, God willing.

I live south of Tampa and it was 34 and frosty this morning. I just finished reading The Shop on Blossom Street and I'm anxiously awaiting A Good Yarn to arrive. That shop sounds like me dream job!

I had to scrape ice off the car windows this morning here in Melbourne. I'm a native Floridian who moved up here from South Florida 4 years ago, I have been cold for 3 days and I'm looking forward to the warm up this weekend.

Ahhh! You've a bunch of "wuzzies"! I think this weather is GREAT here in Florida! It only lasts a day or two...come on, "buck up"! You just have to remember to wear a sweater in the mornings when you go to work or the "doctors" & wear it again in the evening coming home! (Remember the a/c cranked down to 68-70 degrees!) Come on..enjoy!! LOL, Kathi :)
