Fallen Angels

This Christmas, as part of the outside decorations, I purchased three five-foot angels for our front lawn.  They’re adorable, with bright lights shining in the dark winter night.  Their wings are gold, as is the halo, and each one is holding a large, lit, gold star.  They are perfection.  And then . . . it happened.

A
windstorm hit our area and downed the neighbor’s tree across our driveway.  If that wasn’t distressing enough, I discovered all three of my angels had toppled.  Yes, friends, I now have three fallen angels skattered across my front yard.  I can’t help but think Shirley, Goodness and Mercy had a hand in this.  I’m telling Gabriel!

Re: Fallen Angels
see that you get for not writing about Shirley, Goodness and Mercy. That was awful that your angels became fallen angels, ha, ha, it was probably the 3 angels doing it

Re: Fallen Angels
Well you know it could of been on your roof... So maybe that was a good sign that they fell. Sounds like you are having a wonderful holiday.

Re: Fallen Angels
I'm a new reader of your novels; I looked up your website with interest. I'm thrilled to find your books because they weave a good story and still leave some things to the imagination. What caught my eye on the map of your home area was the town of Poulsbo. I grew up in Mass. and moved to Northern MN about 20 years ago. When I first moved here, as I remember it, there was a delicious bread on the shelves called "Poulsbo", but it is no longer sold. I forgot about it until now, but at the time, I loved it for making toast with real butter. It may have been made by a regional baking company from the Midwest, but somehow, they came up with the name "Poulsbo". So... I wondered what the connection was if any. God bless you as you continue to use your gifts in the field of writing.

Re: Fallen Angels
Surely Shirley, Goodness and Mercy will soon be dwelling in their rightful place and all will be in order again.
Love this blog. You are such a clever author. I am now reading Christmas Letters and cannot put it down. Thank you for making my reading experience so wonderful

Re: Fallen Angels
You go girl Debbie!
Don't know if you are expecting the cold, cold weather and snow that Eastern Wa and Id are expecting starting this Friday evening but if you are you better dress your angels in some very warm clothes.

Re: Fallen Angels
I can't believe those 3 mischevious angels are even messing with you. It's always something with them, isn't it. I love reading about the girls and everyone in your books. Have the happiest of holidays despite the "angel" tricks.

Re: Fallen Angels
That's funny Debbie, because when I read the title of your blog, I thought of the three mischief makers, right away!

Re: Fallen Angels
Well Debbie, have Shirley, Goodness, and Mercy gotten your attention yet? I think they're trying to tell you that it's been awhile since we've 'visited' with them. If not, I'd watch out for Gabriel!! God bless. Oh, and have a very happy Merry Christmas. May 2009 be your best year yet.

Re: Fallen Angels
IT COULD ONLY HAVE BEEN ONE OF THOSE ANGELS..THE ONE THAT CAUSES THE MOST MISCHIEF! I CAN SEE THE OTHER TWO ANGELS TRYING TO PLEAD HER CASE TO GABRIEL...HMMM...ENJOY YOUR HOLIDAY ANYWAY!!! LOL, KATHI:)
