Christmas Swimmers Tea

This afternoon is the annual Christmas Swimmers Tea, which I host in my home. It’s always so much fun because we actually get to see each other with street clothes on! It’s sometimes a shock. Recently, I was amazed to learn that Rachel wore glasses. She didn’t know I did, either.
Those of us who swim early in the morning share a special camaraderie—we’re hearty souls, mostly morning people, born with a happy gene, who like nothing better than the smell of chlorine to start off our day. Oh, and we’re not opposed to a sip of eggnog at noon, either.

Such a delightful way to spend the holiday celebration with your fellow swimmers. Have a sip or two of eggnog for me.

isn't it fun at this time of the year to gather friends around. we had a block party Saturday because we all live on 1 acre plots and don't really see each other than to wave as we walk by or drive by. It was amazing to find the common interests. everyone loved it, I do believe we will make this an annual party at our home. makes the season seem so much nicer

I'm not sure about the "early-riser" bit, but egg-nog (with a little "Captain" in it sounds good to me!!! LOL, Kathi:)
