Wayne Shopping
Wayne spent the last two weeks in Florida getting our new home ready for our late December arrival. I have missed him something fierce, and he missed me, too. To let you know how much, he volunteered to go to the grocery store with me this afternoon. Wayne offering to shop? For a moment there I feared he was suffering from altitude sickness. He hates anything to do with shopping. Ah well, I’ll count my blessings and smile sweetly and suggest he push the cart.

let me tell you about real retirement, we women here have had some lively conversations at Curves while exercising and it is a given that when you retire, you get a shopping partner. They don't know what to do with themselves and they need time to find their things to do. My friend and I were saying today, we have been lucky for almost a month, both of our husbands are into building, mine is building sewing cabinets and her's is building a double dresser for their bedroom. So we would have been free to come and go shopping and such, but don't you know she had to fly to Norway and move her mother into independent living and silly me i fractured my foot in two places. Would like to say I saved money staying home, but you know you can order so many things online now, I am getting some Christmas shopping done that way. We don't have all that many stores here to shop and have to go into Ocala for big shopping. Enjoy your time together. My husband has done all the shopping by himself for almost a month now, he know s the grocery store quite well. Have a Happy Thanksgiving from Elaine in Citrus County

Awww, that's just sweet! Tell him if he's ever lonely and in Kansas, he's welcome to accompany me and the girls to the grocery store. Although I'm certain he'd rather visit Home Depot with my husband. :)

I guess I'm lucky!! If I want him to accompany me he does; but if he's going racing nothing can budge him!! I like it better when he doesn't come, then I don't have to hear: "You don't need that!" "Come on, are you finished yet?" (sigh) like I said, I'd rather go myself! LOL Kathi :)

Marciaelaine--I have a cousin who lives in Citrus County and you got it must go to Ocala to shop. Funny me asked her if I can wear jeans when we go to dinner, her comment this is Citrus County. You do have a wonderful ice cream shop that caters to diabetics with low carbs and for sure that is one of my stops when we go to visit.
