Happy Thanksgiving!

You’d think, being a writer, that words would come easily to me, and in some instances they do, but at other times I struggle.  I’ve always found it difficult to know what to say when comforting the grieving or how best to ease another’s pain.  It’s almost as hard for me to find the right words to give thanks.

I have been so incredibly blessed in my life in ways far and above anything I could have imagined.  Blessed by family, friends, my publisher, my agent, publicist, my staff, and by all of you in countless ways.  Tomorrow we celebrate Thanksgiving and I’ll be up at the crack of dawn stuffing the turkey with other women (and men) all across our country.  My children and their families plus assorted relatives will gather around our table and we will hold hands and offer a prayer of gratitude to God for the abundance He has supplied.  Let me say it in the simplest of terms.  Thank you for blessing my life, for your support, encouragement, and the joy you bring me.

Re: Happy Thanksgiving!
Happy Thanksgiving, Debbie. Thank you for all the wonderful books you've given to us. In a world that can be so hard sometimes, your books are a safe and enjoyable place when I need to get away. God Bless You and your family.

Re: Happy Thanksgiving!
I've never posted to anything or anyone before but today I too wish you a Safe and Happy Thanksgiving. I now have read every book you have penned and find them so delightful. I read them I feel like I am living in the community you write about. Someday I hope to visit one of your places in Seattle.

Re: Happy Thanksgiving!
Debbie, I to wish you a bless Thanksgiving. I also have trouble saying words at a time of grieving or helping some one through rough times. So I heavy rely on a book called "How to say it" by Rosalie Maggio. It has choice words, phrases, sentences and paragraphs for every situation. Boy has it help me from sticking my foot in my mouth many of times......and I am so good at that too! (sticking my foot in my mouth, I mean!)
I am home for two weeks as I have had eye surgery and I have a weight restriction so I can't work. I am going to start your "Twenty Wishes" this weekend.
Did Wayne experience the unusually cold weather we are having in Vero Beach when he was here? My poinsetta plants are bloomin early. Have a great holiday.

Re: Happy Thanksgiving!
Happy Thanksgiving Debbie and Wayne...with many blessings from the Lucero Family in Idaho...Glenda, Mike, Katie, Cole, Kaden, Tay-Tay and Brezden. This is the last Thanksgivng with Kaden and Tay-Tay, as they move to their other grandparents in OR. Katie could not come home from college due to our finances but she is in our thoughts and prayers and does have a family to be with. We will not have turkey but the Lord continues to bless us all in many ways. We will still eat and we will still be together in a warm house. That is a blessing above all!!! Thanks Debbie for your books. Just got one hanging out there I need to read "Cedar Cove Christmas". So once I can get it. I will be curled up in the evenings with it. :)

Re: Happy Thanksgiving!
Happy Thanksgiving to you also Debbie. Your books are always a bright spot in my day. My husband just came home with your book "When Christmas Comes" for me! We were priviledged to meet you in San Francisco this summer when I purchased "Twenty Wishes".

Enjoy your family tomorrow. I'll be up and cooking early too. But it is fun to do for our family and loved ones.

Re: Happy Thanksgiving!
Debbie, Thank You for all the joy you bring into our lives. It is with happiness that all your fans wish you and those you love a wonderful Thanksgiving holiday. As we go into the holiday season with Kwanza, Hannukah and Christmas coming up may we be reminded everyday of all the blessings we have. We have a safe place you take us to everytime we read one of your books, or re-read or read several more times. They are safe for our young daughters and grandaughters to read. They let us know we are not alone in some of the shortcomings we feel we have. Those of us in the south, east or west or in other countries that get no snow this time of year love reading about places that have it. (We try to escape to Arizona's white mountains for snow) Keep those books a'commin. We love them!!!!

Re: Happy Thanksgiving!
Debbie, Thanks to you, I and so many of the West Bend Wisc community have come to know and enjoy your books. I've tried other readers but would much rather reread one of your books. I get so involved in the characters and the Washington State area that I feel like part of the family. I hope to some day visit Seattle as it calls to me.

A very Happy Thanksgiving to you and your family Debbie.
I don't know where my reading pleasure would be without all of your wonderful books to "take me away from reality" if only for a while!!
Thank you for writing such wonderfully exciting books!
