Debbie, that's great!! I'm sure you will have many stories to tell us about Bogart. I always love to read your blogs - this one gave me a little chuckle. He will only get smarter and cuter as the weeks go on.

We have a black & sparsely white 9 month old Shih Tzu named Reyna. She's such a joy. Welcome to your new family member!!

Don't you love puppies? I have a 16 year old Shih Tzu named Jake. We got him between the two hurricanes that hit in 2004 down here in Vero Beach. I got laid off from my job because of damage to the office and I though it was a good time to get a dog. I went to the shelter and there he was looking at me with those eyes. He was picked up DURING the first hurricane running around drenched. He was hit by something and his left eye was damaged. When I got him, they removed the left eye, took out 5 teeth. We are making his last years happy and safe. He is the best dog we ever had. He has alot of gray and I think now, his hearing is gone and he sleeps alot so I know the end is near but for the last 4 years has been good for him. He is a 16 pound fur ball named one eyeed Jake.

I have his brother, Chaz Wilson. Such a manly name...but they aren't identical twins - Chaz is a blonde with brown ears.

That's wonderful.My daughter has a German Shepard she's a year old and her name is Libbie.Libbie doesn't know she's a dog!She believes she's one of my grandkids, and that's just fine with me.

As you can see on my "Posted by:" it's "Sabre" the love of my life...he was a doberman and the sweetest one you'd ever meet! He's gone now, a year and I'm contemplating getting another dog...my choice is a chocolate lab...good luck with "Bo" enjoy him everyday!! LOL Kathi :)

Congratulations on your new baby. I hope the Shih Tzu personality comes thru on Bogart. I have a Shih Tzu (Mr. Buttons) who has been a part of our family for about 8 years. He is the best little buddy I've ever had and I love him so much. Shih Tzu's must be the most precious dogs ever!!! P.S. Debbie,I know you will have many years of happiness with your little Shih Tzu/Mix baby. I have 3 Shih Tzus...Webster(dad) , Annie (mom) and Angelina (daughter). Annie and Webster had a litter of six puppies and Angelina was one of the puppies.She only weighed 5 ounces at birth! She and her sister ,Angel, were born with severe gastro-intestional problems and were very sick. We gave these two babies their names because we felt that they had come from Heaven and probably would be going back to Heaven due to their health problems. Unfortunately,Angel did return to Heaven at 6 weeks old but Angelina , not only survived but thrived! Our beautiful Angelina celebrated her first birthday yesterday! She seems to have miraculously recovered from all of her health problems and blesses us every day with her sweet, gentle, playful nature. She now weighs a whooping 10 pounds! The most wonderful part of the day for me is when my husband and I settle down for the night with our 3 babies cuddled up with us, while I read one of your wonderful books! Congratulations, and may you and Wayne have many , many happy years with Bogart!

I saw the picture of the puppy on a newer entry. He's so cute! I have an Australian cattle dog, named Jasmine, who follows me everywhere and loves riding in the car. We adopted her about 4-1/2 years ago.
