Welcoming Visitors

Tomorrow morning I’m heading to Seattle to meet with the Guideposts Advisory Council.  Seeing that this wonderful group of 75 supporters is visiting our area, I’m leading a short walking tour.  There are some interesting statistics that I want to share with them.

For instance, did you know there are mountains in Washington State that have never been climbed or explored?  We have the only rain forest in the continental United States. Our state has a rain forest on one half of the state and desert on the other.  Washington has the largest ferry system in the world, too.  I do hope you’re impressed!

Debbie not many things impress me but your books do. I even got an elderly 93 years old into reading your books and she can't wait for the next one to come out.

I want to go to Washington! LOL! Someday, I'd really like to see the Pacific Northwest. The farthest west I've gone, in the continental United States, is the northeast corner of Wyoming. I live in the middle, in eastern WI.

I am originally from Portland, OR raised in Medford, OR and live in Idaho now. Let's say not the pretty part of Idaho. But closer ya get to Boise it is prettier. Not sure why we live in Idaho but the Lord must have had a reason so here we have been going on 10 years.

Re: Welcoming Visitors
In 1973, I had the opportunity to live in Seattle for awhile. I fell totally and madly in love with Washington state. For a Kentucky gal who had never traveled past Missouri, it was certainly an awesome experience!!! My daughter and her best friend made the trip across country for their college graduation trip following my tracks and discovering even more beauty 31 years later!!! We live in the most beautiful country in the world folks!!! We just need to appreciate it and take care of it. Debbie, your books are as amazing as you are !!! Thank you for sharing your talent and time with us!!! Stella.
