Here Comes the Judge!
Wayne and I, along with the Roches, who are visiting from Pennsylvania, are headed to the Puyallup Fair today. Normally I wouldn’t take a day off from writing to attend the local fair, which just happens to be the tenth largest in the country. However, I’ve been asked to be one of the pie judges. You read that right--I’ve been asked to sample and judge berry pies. I have to ask you, does life get any better than this? It’s a beautiful day in the Pacific Northwest, the sun is out and I’m headed to the fair to eat pie. Life is good.

Nothing better than pie tasting in the Pacific NW! I'm also in the Great Pac NW. Love it. Born and raised here. Just want to say thank you for your books. I enjoy them very much.

Continue to enjoy your great books and have just purchased several of the Leisure Arts books. Am recently retired and planning to start knitting and crocheting. Thanks for all of your great books and enjoy keeping up with the fun things in your life

Your life is never boring. Always look forward to hearing what you are up to all most as reading your great books. Spent time the other day going to our 2 used book stores and getting some older ones I had missed. The new ones won't stay on the shelf long enough to find, if you are not there when they get them in. Keep having fun.

Yummy Pie! What a way to spend a day!! I spend the day changing diapers and etc but would not have it any other way. My grandbabies, my kids and hubby are my life besides our Savior...I am thinking about Apple Pie for dinner tomorrow night. I am sure hubby will appreciate it. With extra cinnamon I would too. LOL!

We were part of audience watching Debbie do a fantastic yet very TOUGH job of judging pies. My daughter and I walked away impressed with the event and more knowledgeable on what it takes to have a juried entry in the fair. We met many of the contestants, and they all worked hard to have their pies place in the finals! Debbie, you are the most kind hearted and giving person - the book signing was delightful - a great Mom & Daughter adventure. I came from California to visit my daughter in Seattle and go to your pie judging/book signing at the fair. If any of you go, gotta try those warm scones - its a trademark of this fair!
