A Dream Come True

Today is magical for me, the realization of a dream.  This morning A Good Yarn Shop opened here in Port Orchard.  I have five incredible investors who have put their hearts into making this a reality.  Our mission statement is Friendships Formed and Traditions Taught.

I was at the shop later than my bedtime last night, helping to label and display yarn.  As I left it occurred to me what a shame it would be if someone actually wanted to purchase yarn and ruin my beautiful display. Alas, this will be a lesson in sharing and letting go.  Knit on, my friends, and if the fancy strikes you, stop by A Good Yarn Shop and pick up a skein and some knitting needles . . . just not off the display I created!

Congratulations, what a feeling that must have been for you. I wish I could make it up that way someday soon.

Congratulations on your new store. I can hardly wait until we go over to visit Sequim (where we used to live) and stop by on the way. We live in the south Puget Sound area so will be dropping by!

I wish I could come visit your yarn shop! Eastern Wisconsin is just too far away, though. Ditto on a picture of the display you made.

Re: A Dream Come True
I have tons of yarn in the garage all in plastic bags and in boxes just waiting for my 3 grandbabies I am raising to grow up. Before I know it I will be wanting them younger again. Especially when they will be teenagers all at the same time. Lord Help Me Then! LOL!

Re: A Dream Come True
I too say "congrats" on your new adventure. Wish I could visit the new shop but Tx. is just a way bit too far! I do feel I have been blessed in finding your books & making a friend. Don't knit but do crochet. It's all with yarn right?
Do wish we could see pic's of the shop.

Re: A Dream Come True
Congrats Debbie! So exciting for you. Onward & upward! We would really like a picture posted of the shop. I found a new yarn shop just yesterday. We were on vacation in Lincoln City, OR and discovered it hiding in plain site! My "new" knitter daughter and I spent over 2 hours pouring over the yarns, books and needles. I wish I could visit your shop. Maybe someday... Betsy in Spokane

Re: A Dream Come True
Well lost 2 of my grandbabies to the state this week. They decided we needed to focus on the one we were adopting. Even though we had plans to adopt all three. So may have to bring my yarn out to make me drift in other thoughts.
