40th Anniversary
Forty years ago this Sunday I was a teenage bride with stars in my eyes as I gazed upon my hero, Wayne Macomber. He’s still my hero and the love of my life. We’ve had good years and bad ones—all marriages do. It amazes me that it's been forty years since we said our vows and started our life together. God has blessed me many times over in my life, but perhaps one of the most profound blessings was in the husband He chose to give me.

Happy Anniversay! Wow, 40 years. That's wonderful! My husband and I are working on our 14th year together. We are having one of those "bad" years but most of them have been good. We'll make it through this one though. I don't give up easy. Hope your anniversary is magical.

Re: 40th Anniversary
CONGRATULATIONS! As I posted yesterday my handsome husband and I celebrated 30 years on Labor Day. People are surprised we're still on our first marriage because they say we act like newlyweds! Holding hands and kissing and all that yuck as our kids said when they were growing up. Now that they're grown they tell us that it gave them a wonderful sense of security to know that we were still madly in love with each other even as "old people", (I'm the ripe old age of48!). Have a wonderful anniversary Debbie. Betsy in Spokane

Re: 40th Anniversary
Many blessings to you and Wayne. I met my husband 19 days before I married him 41 years ago in 1967. We are still together although sometimes I can't figure out how. We will celebrate 42 years in November. My grandmother gave our marriage 6 months because we are so different but we have the same values and we both determined when we got married be both committed to the fact that is was for life. Now it is for eternity. We have had those rough times as well as the good times. Our children are both still with their original spouses because they too have made that same committment. May He bless you at all times and in all things.

Congratulations on 40 years! My boyfriend's parents have been married 42 years, and he and I just celebrated our 5th year dating. He doesn't like to buy cards, but he buys me one for my birthday, Valentine's Day and our anniversary.
Best wishes to you & Wayne for 40 more years. He is really a keeper.

Re: 40th Anniversary
we have been married for 47 years and know each other 50 years. We met at church and we were young when we married but we have had the most fun being married, oh! of course there were rough times but we have 3 children, 2 are married now for 18 years and we have 4 wonderful grandchildren, where does the time go? Hope you had a great celebration. My husband is a keeper too, he has Parkinson's now and so we celebrate life every day, he is doing great on the meds but of course don't know how long that will last. He is my best friend which means alot. We lived all over the US and the world with our 3 kids, it has been a great life so far. best wishes

Re: 40th Anniversary
40 years is so Awesome! I have been married 3 times. My husband of nearly 12 years and my friend of 22 years are like night and day. I am a believer but did not attend church or duch because of afraid of hurting his feelings when it came down to it. I was hurting mine. So the past 2 years that I have been going to church and baptized have been awesome but also bittersweet. I am not afraid to talk about my faith and I know it bothers him but...how will he learn that our God is An Awesome God, if he does not see Christ in me. We are toughing a road right now with our struggles and adopting my biological grandson and continuing the foster home care. He feels I am out there trying to save the world and does not understand that God put us here to care for these children no matter what time of the day or night they come to us. So 40 years to me is a long way off for my hubby and I...BUT I refuse to give up. I continue to Hold Steady! Happy 40th Wayne and Debbie. Never have met you but you are one awesome couple. God Bless.
