Yarn vs. Chocolate

It was Stitch and Pitch night at the Mariners baseball game last night at Safeco field.  I attended with two of my knitting friends and we had a fun evening, cheering on the home team.  As a bonus, the Mariners won on the bottom of the ninth inning.

An even bigger bonus was that as many as twenty yarn stores had set up booths and were selling yarn.  I couldn’t resist.  Yarn is my weakness.  If I had to choose between yarn and chocolate, I’d grab hold of the yarn . . . well, maybe it might depend on what kind of day I’d had.  Have a fun weekend.  I’m off to join Wayne in Colville for the big Scott Family reunion.

Re: Yarn vs. Chocolate
Sounds like a great evening! And to have the Mariners squeak in a win at the last minute made it the kind of game I enjoy watching. I love yarns and their colors, too, but I don't believe eating yarn would give me the same mellow mood as chocolate.......!!! Enjoy the reunion!

Question, Debbie -- my Scott ancestors were among the early settlers of southern New Jersey, called West Jersey in the seventeenth century. They were Quakers at the time. Any chance Wayne and I are distant cousins? Chances are small, I know, for there are many Scott lines in this country.

Re: Yarn vs. Chocolate
Sounds like fun. I hadn't been to a Milwaukee Brewer's game in many years. Miller Park is 6 or 7 years old and I hadn't even been there. So, we went to our Stitch n Pitch, on July 9th. We had a blast, even if the Brewers lost that night. They had some booths setup, for the SnP, but I don't know if they were actually selling yarn. We did get Milwaukee Brewer's caps for free, though, that said SnP on them. There was even a guy, who'd some with his knitting girlfriend. She told him that if he came to SnP, he had to knit, too, so she'd taught him the basics. He was sitting there knitting, too. His girlfriend's shirt? Will knit for tattoos! (She showed us one, that she had!)

Chocolate and crocheting would be good for me. Where is the time for all that?

I was so sure I saw you at the Mariner's game, but didn't want to impose on your outing! When you threw out the pitch last year I knew I was going to go the next year! Wasn't it FUN! Debby
