The City by the Bay

I left my heart in San Francisco, along with my pocketbook.  Who knew one city would have so many incredible yarn stores.  Candi Jensen, friend, designer, and producer of the Emmy-nominated PBS series Knit and Crochet Today, took me and several writing and knitting friends out for a yarn crawl.  Okay, so technically I was in town for the big Romance Writers of America  Conference, but I made sure there was free time scheduled for other important matters, such as shopping and exploring.  Other than the  Conference, and the fabulous yarn crawl, I did make one other rather exciting discovery:  San Francisco is a great town for chocolate!

Re: The City by the Bay
boy, you have that right, they have the best chocolate, I had to restrain myself when I was out there several years ago. Silly husband, said it would melt in my bags. It wouldn't have, because I would have eaten most of it before I got home. Wow, you must have had a great time on your yarn crawl, I am totally envious. I don't always catch her show but they have the neatest projects ever and she makes things easy to understand. You are so lucky, no you are truly blessed because of what a great person you are.

Sounds like fun! I'd like to go to San Francisco, anyway, even if it didn't have yarn shops.

I live across the bay from San Francisco, and I can tell you that it is a must do to stop at Ghiradelli Square for their wonderful chocolates!! You can even see it being made right there too!Sorry I missed your book signing Debbie. I was planning to go and take my granddaughter with me, as this is the only time you have been here that I know of...but sadly, I hurt my back, and couldn't go..I was really upset, but I am glad that you enjoyed yourself while you were here!!! I do hope I can see you next time you come to S.F., or CA. Debbie/brdwoman

Re: The City by the Bay
Being the chocolate lover I am, I would love more than anything to taste the chocolate they have. I find myself dreaming about it even now. :) It's wonderful that you had such a great time, and even better you got to do some exploring. Always fun. :)
