From Horses to Dinosaurs
Wayne is away for the rest of the week with our youngest son, Dale, for a Father/Son getaway. That means that I’m not cooking, which gives me more time for—you guessed it—knitting. I recently finished an alpaca/wool sweater for four year-old Isaiah with the cutest horse buttons. I showed it to him, only to learn he now loves dinosaurs. That’s not a problem for Grandma Pickle. I found the cutest dinosaur hat that looks as if it was designed just for him. You know what they say: . . . .so much yarn and so little time.

Re: From Horses to Dinosaurs
I am envious, if my husband is gone, then I still have our son that lives with us. I would love to start knitting again. Bob bought me a embroidery sewing machine last Sept when I turned 65 and that is all we (my husband) care about now. I haven't even read through my magazines this month. So little time to do everything right?

Re: From Horses to Dinosaurs
I'm crocheting a teddy bear for my 3 year old granddaughter for Christmas. It comes complete with several crocheted outfits, overalls, sundress, frilly dress, graduation cap & gown, etc. I'm looking forward to seeing her face when she opens it at Christmas. She loves her dolls and stuffed toys.

Re: From Horses to Dinosaurs
I just wish I was creative as all of you are. I can't do a crafty thing. Before my sister passed away she would come up with something crafty and she would do all the hard stuff and I would do the grunt work and I could pass the gifts out saying I made it. I still do miss my sister even after almost six years.

Re: From Horses to Dinosaurs
I assume you are Grandma Pickle. Wonder how you came by that name? I am "tadpole" as my now 21 mo old granddaughter started saying that for Grandma 6 mo ago. I am trying to keep it going as now her language is more precise.

I think we all get special names when we become special grandma's. :) I am GammaGee and then my foster children call me MamaGee.

A husband gone--let's see--sleep, clean, work, read, relax.
I found out on Tuesday that my daughter is going to have a baby boy

I'm not as talented as some of you "girls" either, but I do enjoy "straight knitting (or perling)"; I make "fun-fur" mixed with regular yarn scarves to send "up-north" to relatives in NJ which they enjoy. That about sums up my "talent"...and i'm not a grandma YET!!! LOL Kathi :)

Re: From Horses to Dinosaurs
Hi Debbie. I have been a big fan of yours for longer then I care to admit to..lol. I read all your re:issue books when they were new lol. I have turned a friend of mine into a fan recently and she just read your Mrs. Miracle book and loves the angel books. She asked me if you will have any more Mrs. Miracle books, and of course I have no answer to that, so I am turning to you. Is there a chance she will appear again in the future? I am looking forward to the upcoming books and congrats on the great news of your new deal. You deserve it and more. xoxo JoAnne
