Around the Corner from Blossom Street

Last night I spent a quiet evening in my hotel room knitting.  I’ve had so much going on every night, the chance to slow down and relax with my knitting was a real treat.

Another treat while in Houston was meeting up with my friend, Karen Young, who took me to some yarn stores.  (Not only is Karen a knitter, but she’s an author of Christian romantic suspense.  Her next book, Blood Bayou, will be published in May 2009, and I can hardly wait!). We were on our way to Yarns 2 Ewe, standing on the corner of Shepherd and Blossom Street, when it hit me!  I felt like I was home and walking into my local yarn shop!  How could you not love a shop around the corner from Blossom Street?

How wonderfully fun to find a yarn shop just off of Blossom Street. I have enjoyed reading your comments about your book tour. I am looking forward to meeting you myself.

Finished Twenty Wishes last week and just loved that book, as I do all of yours. How you do this is amazing to me. The people are so real and the situations as well.
Thanks for always being counted on for a great read. Also, enjoy "traveling with you" via these emails. You treat your readers like dear friends, and we appreciate it so much.

I have yet to read Twenty Wishes but I am sure it will be just as pleasant as all the others. Glad you got some knitting in. I am in hopes to get some crocheting done before my daughter heads to college. I just cannot get into BRIGHT ORANGE! LOL!

How I enjoy reading about all of your adventures while traveling the country! I'm waiting for our library to let me know when Twenty Wishes is available for me to read. I hope they call real soon. I agree the title of this blog would be a great title for your next book. Can't wait to read that one too. Safe journey.

I like "Around the Corner from Blossom Street"!!! That sounds like a real interesting story (just like all the rest of your books!) I finally read "Twenty Wishes" and really enjoyed it (as usual) Thank you & look forward to meeting you in Coral Gables. (Wish you could have made it to the new Barnes & Noble in downtown Palm Beach Gardens instead, but you're worth the trip down south). See you soon...l o l Kathi :)

Debbie,

It was wonderful to meet you in Houston! I had told you the story of how your book "Between Friends" was the story of my mother's life and how she cried at every page. I loved your inscription to her. I immediately sent the book off to her and I cannot wait until she receives it.

I hope you will return to Houston in the near future. Thank you for your books - they have helped me through some difficult times in my life. I always knew I could turn to your books for relaxation and some time away from problems. Keep writing!

Re: Around the Corner from Blossom Street
Such a treat to meet you in Surprise Arizona the other day. Wish it had been close enough to get to all your Arizona stops this past weekend.
Hope you have an enjoyable rest.
Can't wait for the next installment of any of your books.

Re: Around the Corner from Blossom Street
Hi Debbie,

I'm the owner of Yarns 2 Ewe, Inc., the shop in Houston "around the corner from Blossom Street". So sorry I missed your being in the shop while we were at the trade show!!! Actually, we're ON the corner of Blossom Street--Blossom runs down the side of our building. We used the fact that we're ON Blossom Street (albeit on the side) as one of those signs from the universe that we were meant to move from our former location!!! Thanks for pointing us in the right direction! :o) Safe travels! --Wendy
