Eager to Get Back to Work
I arrived dopey and cross-eyed from Europe and struggled with the time change. All day Friday I couldn’t figure out the time, let alone the day. I heard one isn’t supposed to experience jet lag when traveling west, but apparently my body didn’t get the memo.
I slept nearly all of one day and listlessly walked around feeling guilty about everything that I should be doing over the weekend. The good news is I’m feeling more like myself this morning and eager to get back to work. Lydia is calling to me, and she’s upset that I’ve kept her waiting alone on Blossom Street this long.

welcome back, take it easy, I too experienced that jet lag when we lived in Alaska. Everyone is different, just rest, Lydia can wait, although I am not sure everyone out here can. Just kidding, glad you had a great trip, you would where ever your were, you are just one of those upbeat people. good to hear from you, Elaine

Re: Eager to Get Back to Work
Welcome home Debbie,
Someone once told me that no matter where you travel, the way to minimize "jet lag" is to to to bed at 11 pm local time and set your alarm for 8 hours. Haven't tried it, but seemed to make sense when I read it, that and drink lots of water :)
Pam (and Barbara too) still in Janesville CA

Re: Eager to Get Back to Work
Glad you're back and more rested today. My husband travels all over the world and back again almost monthly and his tried and true method to beat jet lag is to go to bed and get up at the local time wherever you are, no matter how different from your own time. I've tried it and it really works. I usually wake up in the middle of the night but I took his advice and read a book for only about 10 minutes, shut the light off and back to sleep I go!

Welcome back to the states. Relax.
I had great news recently. My daughter is going to have a baby. They have two other children, but this will be their first biological child.

Dear Debbie,
Welcome home; I am so glad you are back safely! I just discovered a new friend who is another fan of yours, and was happy to share the news that you have two new books coming out. It is so much fun to meet other Debbie fans!

Welcome Home! Our Pastor will be home tomorrow night from India. We will have sometime to rest up before he speaks on Sunday. Look forward to your next books. I have not missed a one. Take care, Gee

Re: Eager to Get Back to Work
I meant he will have sometime to rest up. I chuckled when I read that because my daughter teases him about being long winded. Guess I was thinking we had to rest up to sit in the pew for a overtime sermon. LOL! No he is really awesome. He is definitely a man of God!
