Chicago

I’m in Chicago, my first tour city.  I’m excited and enthusiastic and I’ve already managed to do some shopping.  My hotel is near Michigan Avenue, which is the main street for all my favorite stores:  Nordtrom, Nieman Marcus, Macy’s and Sacks.  So, I had a nice long walk yesterday, purely for the exercise, you understand.

I’m looking forward to meeting my readers in Chicago.  Tuesday evening I will be on my way to Indianapolis, the next stop.

Re: Chicago
Don't you just love the shopping In Chicago and it is a great place to walk down by the river. I went to a conference there a few years back and I swear I lost 3 pounds just walking everywhere. I was born 50 miles south of Indianapolis and haven't been back in quite a few years. I bet it has changed alot, I am going to date myself now and tell you I had great memories of my favorite aunt taking me on the trolley cars there. She was the greatest, died way too young with cervical cancer. But I have the memories of our times together, she used to collect glass blown animals and I was allowed to touch them, they were so pretty. Have a great trip, thinking of you and praying for a safe journey for you.

Re: Chicago
I received my Debbie packet with new bookmark and stamps for all the release dates! Thanks for doing that! Stayed in Chicago in Jan at the Millinium Knickerbocker the night before an Oprah taping we were in town for. Love Michigan Ave, and glad you don't have 17 degrees to deal with as we did.

Re: Chicago
I recieved my packet yesterday afternoon- was so excited-- bookmark immediately went into the current Cedar Cove series book I am reading. Happened to be at the store today and the new book Twenty Wishes started calling me from the entrance and before I knew it, the book was in my shooping cart and on the way to the checkout line. I am really hoping to get the chance to have it signed when you comes to Salt Lake City. I was introduced to your books last fall and can't tell you how much they have meant to me, especially the Blossom Street Novels, they make me laugh, cry and and just feel in touch with life. Thank you
