London, England!

In the UK they say “brilliant” instead of wonderful.  I’m having a brilliant time here in London.  I met with my U.K.publisher and visited their offices in Surrey.  Today was the Stitch and Craft Show in Olympia, which was fabulous.  I was surprised at the number of people acquainted with me and my books and was delighted to find the auditorium where I spoke to be standing-room only.

At the Craft Show I was surprised to find possum yarn (a blend of wool and possum fur) and immediately purchased several skeins.  I was first introduced to possum yarn when I visited New Zealand and have been searching for it ever since.   More so than knitting, the hottest thing at the show was needlepoint.

Last night I was treated to the play The Sound of Music.  I’ve seen it many times, but this production was truly brilliant.  It was so well produced that I had tears in my eyes many times.

Tomorrow I'll be on the Eurostar (underground train) on my way to Paris for a few days of fun.  I’m so looking forward to that!

Re: London, England!
wow, again, I am so excited to hear about the wool and possum yarn. When I lived in Alaska they had the musk ox yarn which is so light and airy, yet warm as can be. You must be having a brillant time. Of to gay Pariree, what a great town, hope the people are friendly as when I was there. I love the breads and coffee and cocoa, you can walk it off easily in that town. Take care, enjoy

Get ready for the chocolate pastries in Paris! I think I made my husband stop at everyone we passed just so I oculd go in and look. They are forms of art! I am just so jealous Debbie. I loved Paris even more than London. By the way, I'm on my 3rd read through of all the Blossom books so far and "chomping at the bit" to get the next one. :- Your Spokane friend.

Re: London, England!
Sounds like you are having a wonderful time in Europe, glad to hear you found some more possum yarn. I have almost completed the vest from your Knitting Club in possum yarn for our winter down under. I am off to London in August to meet my new grandchild, I hope I find some good yarn stores there and in Paris.
