Lightning Show
We had a thunder and lightening storm last night that rivals just about anything I’ve ever seen. The sky lit up with one giant flash after another with thunder so horrendous it set off car alarms in the parking lot. Our friends, Tink and Renelle, are visiting from Washington State. Renelle and I sat in the dark room and watched and cheered God’s amazing hand. One thing is sure—I don’t want to do anything to strike the ire of God. His hand in awesome.

Re: Lightning Show
I remember an aunt of mine holding me in her lap when I was small and teaching me not to be afraid of God's awesome hand but to admire his beauty and I have taught my son the same.

Re: Lightning Show
We sure have some awesome sights of God here in Florida don't we? We are having rain today, at first there was a little thunder and lightening but now just rain. We can sure use the rain. Take care, enjoy your visitors, I had my sister from KY last week and we experienced God's handiwork.

Re: Lightning Show
Our fourth of July celebrations have nothing on God. His is so much better.

Amen to all of the above! The bright pink and orange sunsets here in Northern California are indescribable! You just can't put those colors on paper. The brilliance just can't be captured!

Re: Lightning Show
Of course, it doesn't rain much here, in AZ, but the Lord sure makes up for that with a "lightning show" beyond anything I ever saw in my home state of TN (where it definitely rains a lot more)! One particular memory I have is of seeing two lightning strikes simultaneously, with both of the flashes "branching" into several. As Nini said: "The brilliance just can't be captured!"
