Random Act of Kindness

One of the nicest things happened yesterday and it started with an accident.  I was in the Newark airport, waiting to catch my flight back to Seattle.  It was an early morning flight, so I stopped at the Starbucks stand to get a cup of coffee.  Unfortunately, I spilled the entire contents when I sat down in the seating area.  I cleaned up my mess and decided I wasn’t going to wait in that long line again.

To my surprise a businessman stepped up and said he was going for coffee and asked if he could get me a cup.  Grateful, I reached for my purse to pay for it and he said he didn’t want anything.  This was his random act of kindness for the day.  It was a simple gesture, a kindness that blessed me the entire flight home.

Bless his heart and yours as well. I am sure you would do the same for someone as well.

If we all would practice that it could possibly change the world. Doesn't a small jesture like that make you happy for several hours?

Re: Random Act of Kindness
When someone does something nice for me. I cannot be blessed enough. It is always nice to be able to be kind and then to receive kindness back.

Re: Random Act of Kindness
How nice! It makes the day completely different when someone does a nice thing like that doesn't it? Even as simple as picking up something that dropped for someone. They are so surprised and appreciative. What a great way for you to begin the day. Blessings, Betsy in Spokane

Re: Random Act of Kindness
I felt so blessed with reading this blog that I went out and bought my husband some French vanilla ice cream and not just the inexpensive kind to get by. Some good stuff. He was happy I did that. It is nice to have a wonderful partner in life. He is special, as he has put up with me with the love of babies and how we became a foster home. So today my blessing go out to my hubby!

Re: Random Act of Kindness
The father of the two older grandbabies is in the picture now and he visits here at our home on Sunday, and he told me that he appreciated all that we do for his kids. Even though I felt like saying these are my kids and you never have had them I did not. I thanked him in return for trying to be a part of their lives and he just looked at me. I believe kindess he has not been around. So I felt blessed just to see a smile on his face. Maybe because of kindness and this blog continuing it will be an awesome week for all of us. Ya think?
