Happy Thanksgiving!

Like many of you, I’m getting ready for the big Thanksgiving feast.  I have our turkey soaking in a brine, the recipe from Martha Stewart.  The kitchen countertops are loaded down with the items I need for all the recipes I intend to cook.  Later this morning, I’ll set the big table in our dining room with our best china and silverware.  Then I’ll place a Bible verse by each place setting lest we forget all the things for which we are thankful.  My list is long this year.  I have been blessed in so many ways, and for that I thank our heavenly Father.

Re: Happy Thanksgiving!
I was absolutely miserable this year because I didn't have a job to pay bills, buy Christmas gifts or really have any fun.

Then I was in bed one morning and I realized that even though I had been ill, I am on the road to recovery, have a nice home with my mom, food on the table and friends that I consider part of my family.

I re-adjusted my attitude pretty quickly!

Re: Happy Thanksgiving!
I am thankful for so much in my life. My list could go on and on. Most of all, like you Debbie I thank Our Lord for the things he has done in my life. I am so blessed.
Happy Thanksgiving Debbie and wishing you and your family many more.

Re: Happy Thanksgiving!
I agree with mamagee. My list would be way too long to write it all down. God has abundantly blessed me and my family. One of the things I'm thankful is good Christian authors like you Debbie. It used to be so hard to find a GOOD clean romance to read. Thank you for your efforts and for your non-fiction book too. It gave a wonderful glimpse into your life and made me realize how much most of us women are alike in the ways that count. Happy Thanksgiving! May God bless you and yours tomorrow and through the rest of the holidays. Betsy in Spokane

Re: Happy Thanksgiving!
Debbie, I wanted to thank you for your book "The Shop on Blossom Street". I picked it up at a giant yard sale in Salisbury earlier this year. I had quite a pile of books and, not having read you before, I left yours 'til last. Perhaps unknowingly, as the old saying goes, I saved the best for last. I lost my Mother a year ago on the 20th, and was feeling pretty blue over the Thanksgiving holiday 'til I picked up your book. It made me cry more than once before I finished it today. But you have made me feel so much better. Thanks, Sandy

Debbie's books can make you laugh and cry at any given time but she also seems to take you to a place that is so real and you feel like you fit right in. God Bless!
