Shared Birthday

My granddaughter, Maddie, and I share a birthday, which just happened to be yesterday, October 22.

My daughter told me Maddie woke up in the wee hours of the twenty-second and with gusto shouted “I’m eight!”  I’m here to tell you, my friends, I slept through the entire night and didn’t once think to toss aside my warm covers and declare to the world how old I am. It must be an age thing!

Re: Shared Birthday
Happy Birthday Debbie and Maddie too!!
I can relate to not wanting to the realization that birthdays bring one to another year older than they were just getting used to being the year before!!
I usually like to celebrate my birthdays doing the same things that I would do on any normal day!

Happy Birthday Debbie and Maddie! I hope you both had a day filled with laughter, love and happiness to continue for many more years. Like you Debbie...I do not think I would jump up and state to the world how old I am. UGH! I just finished 74 Seaside Ave and hardly can wait for the next one. I do read Richard Paul Evans and Robin Lee Hatcher in between your books. I have not missed one of yours yet. :) I am partial to Robin Lee Hatcher as well as she lives in my neck of the woods. :) God Bless and Have and Awesome Day!!!

Re: Shared Birthday
My son, Cameron, also celebrates a birthday with you. He declared that he was no longer my "baby" and was a big boy now that he is five years old. No matter how old he gets, he will always be my "baby". P.S. We met you in Portage, MI when you did a signing there when Cameron was nine months old.

Re: Shared Birthday
As others have said, "Happy Birthday!" to both you and your granddaughter...October is a nice month for birthdays in our house too. My husband is the 11th, my grandmother, who is 88 this year, on the 23rd, and both my daughters, Sarah(14) on the 25th, and Robyn (1) on the 27th. Needless to say, this year is a big party, for the baby and also we are including big sister too...Congrats!

Re: Shared Birthday
Sorry so late Debbie. Happy birthday to both you and Maddi. I hope it was everything you to wanted. We have a tradition at my house to spend it with just the immediate family and the birthday person gets to pick our meals and what we do for the whole day. My three girls love it.

Always

Re: Shared Birthday
Happy Birthday, Debbie & Maddie! Seems all the people I love best are born in October. Wanted to let you know that, thanks to all of your encouragement, Debbie, not only did I complete the first knitting classes and project, I am now working on 3 more! Flying to Mobile, AL to pick up a rescued puppy next weekend and bought "Christmas Wishes" to take along. Also, just starting the Cedar Cove series and loving it! And, just finished reading "Knit Together" -- very inspiring! Also read the Blossom Street series (my knitting adventure inspiration!).Thanks again for all you do. God bless, Fran
