Home again
I'm back!  My intention was to blog every day that I was on tour for KNIT TOGETHER, but so much for that.  There was plenty to write about, too.  I ran into tornados, flash floods, rain like I’ve never seen - well, other than Florida, plus lightning that put the Fourth of July fireworks display to shame.  And that was just Chicago.  The storms followed me to Cincinnati and St. Louis, too, with spectacular thunder and lightning displays.

The best part of the tour, as always, was the opportunity to meet my readers.  Invariably I come away from autographings feeling incredibly blessed.  This tour was no exception.  I will say, however, that it’s good to be home again and back in the office.

Re: Home again
There is no place like home and your own bed! Your own place where you can sit in your own chairs, do what you want, when you want, etc. I was not aware you were scheduled for surgery. Best of luck.

Re: Home again
Debbie,
It was wonderful meeting you in Milwaukee. I brought my mom along in that storm so I didn't have to drive by myself. We were totally amazed by your energy!! But what touched me the most was your warm genuine stories of your faith. It has been a long road this year(my soldier son was injured in Iraq in January, he is doing better but it has been stressful.)and your stories touched my heart. I can't wait to read my copy of Knit Together. Thanks for signing my Mrs. Miracle apron!! Now it is even more special. I have had you in my prayers, I hope your recovery is as quick and painless as possible. God's Blessings.

Debbie,
It was a great pleasure meeting you in Elgin(Chicago) last Thursday (my mom was thrilled I brought her along). I'm so glad our weather did not scare you away. I wanted to wish you luck w/your shoulder. My husband had his done twice. (He found that his lazyboy was the best place to sleep!!) I wish you a speedy recovery!

Re: Home again
Debbie, glad to know you are back home. We met in West Chester, OH at the Barnes and Nobles book signing. Linda mentioned my husband "the perfect husband" who stood in line for me to get a line number while I was at work :-) I ran out at lunch time today to buy 74 Seaside and ended up buying Darling Daughters and One Night. I've been reading you for a couple of years so I have a lot of catching up to do. I have several others on order that she be here soon. After I read 74 Seaside, I plan to start on the Heart of Texas books. God bless you as you go through your surgery and recuperation. Take care, Liz Walker from Hamilton, OH

Re: Home again
Debbie: Isn't it wonderful to be home and able to sleep in your own bed? It's a proven fact that folks heal better at home where they fell safe and loved than they do in hospital, which can feel so very impersonal. Wayne is an extraordinary man, I'm sure! He will take good care of you so you can get back to your writing. God bless you and yours...now and always. Sally K. in Missouri
